ABOUT THE CLIENT
The Britannia Mine Museum is a mining legacy site and a vibrant, internationally recognized education and tourist destination located between Vancouver and Whistler on the Sea-to-Sky highway.
About the Project
The Britannia Mine Museum commissioned Pivotal Research Inc. to conduct a visitor survey to accomplish four key objectives:
1) determine visitor’s perceptions about mining;
2) assess the impact of the Museum experience on visitor’s perceptions about the mining industry, past and present;
3) establish visitor expectations for the Britannia Mine Museum; and
4) describe visitor priorities for improvements or enhancements.
Pivotal Research created a survey instrument and developed a sampling strategy for data collection. Visitors responded to an onsite invitation by Museum staff. Data were collected using Wi-Fi enabled tablets programmed by Pivotal Research. This was followed by full data analysis and reporting.
