Next week, Pivotal Research will present our research at two events: TFWs in the Prairie Region Policy Research Knowledge Mobilization Session on March 22 and then at the 24th Metropolis Canada Conference on March 23-26.

TFWs in the Prairie Region Policy Research Knowledge Mobilization Session

In collaboration with the Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (AAISA) and the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, this session will share the findings of the recently completed Temporary Foreign Worker in the Prairie Region Policy Research report to support awareness, facilitate broad understanding, and support collaborative action. The session will take place virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, March 22 at 10:00am to 11:30am MT. The session is open to all newcomer-serving agencies in the Prairie region as well as other relevant stakeholders in the research or TFW-serving communities.

Metropolis Conference

On March 24, Pivotal Research will travel to Vancouver to present at a session titled: Maximizing Services for TFWs in the Prairies Through an Innovative Tri-Level and Tri-Provincial Partnership Model. For the first time in two years, the event will take place in-person and will be a broad-ranging discussion about the ongoing and new challenges in immigration, settlement, and integration. Immigrant service providers, policy makers, researchers, and other key stakeholders from across Canada will have the opportunity to hold in-depth exchanges about policy needs, best practices, lessons learned, the latest data and studies, and how best to advance immigration and refugee settlement at this critical juncture in our history.

We are excited to amplify our work and lay out the opportunities for legislative and policy reform alongside innovative strategies to transform the service delivery and partnership landscape for the immigrant-serving sector in Western Canada. Many thanks to the event hosts for their hard work over the past several months which has culminated in these wonderful opportunities.
