Pivotal Research is very pleased to announce that we’ll be travelling to Vancouver from October 15-18 to attend the highly anticipated Canadian Network of Agencies for Regulation (CNAR) 2023 conference. We’re thrilled to be both a conference speaker and a Bronze sponsor of CNAR 2023 this fall.

CNAR’s two-day, in-person conference is Canada’s premier event in professional regulation. CNAR 2023 will feature over 30 sessions with speakers in Canadian professional regulation from representing a variety of regulatory sectors and topics, including three sessions from Pivotal Research!

First, on October 16^th, Jessica DeVries and Doha Melhem will present a pre-conference partner workshop titled Curiosity Doesn’t Have to Kill the Cat, It Can Help You Get the Cream: How to Employ Engagement Tactics to Achieve Your Mandate. This learning opportunity will be of interest to both beginner and advanced regulators across Canada.

Then, during the conference, Jessica DeVries will deliver a session called Data-Led Regulation: Transforming Regulation Through Performance Measurement. In partnership with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals, we will be presenting on how to understand regulatory performance through the use of data and insights. Case studies on complaints, standards, and performance measures used by the College will be discussed with an emphasis on how different data sources (organization, registrant, and patient) are utilized.

Finally, alongside our clients at the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia, Doha Melhem will present a session titled Maximizing Public Member Value and Meaningful Engagement. This session will showcase recent collaborative multi-method research and engagement on ways to maximize contributions of public board members.
